Breaking Down Barriers to Playing Lacrosse for Kansas City youth.

Lacrosse is a unique combination of speed, skill, agility, finesse and teamwork. Basketball inventor James Naismith called it, “the best of all possible field games.” Lacrosse is also the fastest growing sport in the United States.

Youth and high school lacrosse leagues continue to grow and flourish in Kansas City. However, sometimes the cost of lacrosse equipment and registration fees can be a barrier to entry. Lacrosse the City was founded in 2018 to help knock down that barrier.

Lacrosse the City is a registered 501(c)(3). We collect gently used lacrosse equipment. We also accept financial donations that are distributed based on need to help off-set registration fees and to purchase some new equipment.

Our mission is to make the great game of Lacrosse accessible to any boy or girl in the Kansas City area who wants to play. You can help in four ways:

Equipment Drop-off Information

Lacrosse the City will host equipment drop-off days at a host of times and locations throughout the year.
